Interior Architectural Designer

Responsibilities: • Embraces and demonstrates WAV’s core values • Creates initial concept packages with a strong design story, to guide the design process through project completion in coordination with the client and architectural team • Conducts programming efforts through space planning studies to arrive at a final approved plan that meets the goals of clients • Develops interior spaces while considering Architecture, Interior Design and Landscape as a holistic experience, including specification of furnishings, fixtures, artwork and finishes/materials • Leads day-to-day project coordination efforts with the ability to prioritize deadlines, manage a project production team, communicate and coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal architectural team • Manages and oversees the construction administration of Interior Design projects - including review of submittals, finish samples and value engineering efforts to maintain design intent • Oversees purchasing, procurement and installation • Manages the work of the Interior Design team, providing work assignments, mentoring, quality review, connection to the architecture team, and oversight of all work produced by the ID team • Learns the tools used by WAV Architects, including Studio Designers, Vectorworks, Google Suite, and Adobe Creative Suite • Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or related field from an accredited school • Registered Architect and/or Interior Designer a plus • NCIDQ certification a plus • 8+ years of related design experience • Proficient in 2D and 3D creative/design software.
