Martin Patrick 3 is an established residential interior design firm located in the Minneapolis North Loop and seeks a junior designer (minimum 5 years) who is well versed in AutoCAD and other modeling and rendering programs to assist in all aspects of the design process. Excellent design sense and aesthetic is very important. The candidate must be highly organized, detailed oriented and excel at multi- tasking and critical thinking. Ideal candidate is a self-starter, eager to learn and embrace collaboration in a team environment. Responsibilities include: • A strong knowledge base of residential interior finish and furniture/fabric resources utilized in interior projects • Perform site measures and document existing site conditions • Generate floor plans, elevations and construction details in AutoCAD • Develop and refine 3D models • Space planning • Manage budgets and guidelines within project scope • Coordinating and tracking of product with vendors and manufacturers • Coordinate deliveries and project spreadsheets • Research and source materials, methods of construction • Participate in the selection of furniture, finishes and lighting • Collaboration with fellow designers, builders and sub-contractors • Excellent problem solving and follow up skills • Ability to multi task and prioritize time • Strong communication skills, be detail oriented, interface well with clients • Computer skills including Microsoft Office and Outlook essential • Experience with AutoCAD required • Proficiency in Sketch-Up, Chief Architect, Revit, hand drafting, color rendering, Adobe Photoshop and Design Manager Software a plus.
