Interior Design Assistant – Essex, MAThis is a full‑time position with an award‑winning, integrated architectural design and construction firm. Daily routines will include supporting both interior designers on multiple, concurrent, high‑profile projects. Our firm deeply cares for creating a sense of home that is indicative of the client’s lifestyle and the Carpenter and Mac Neille attention to detailed excellence.Success in this role is defined as a clear understanding of the needs of the design staff, evidenced by the production of clear, organized and comprehensive documents. The role will offer the ability to work on some exceptional projects with a truly talented team of in‑house builders, architects, interior designers, cabinetmakers and more.ResponsibilitiesProvide CAD drafting support and assist designers in preparing client presentations.Assist all design staff with product research, updating and maintaining project schedules, and job binder organization.Assist interior designers with research, specification of interior finish elements and furnishings (FF&E), including meeting with product reps, visiting showrooms, requesting samples, etc.Assist in interiors and construction procurement processes and execution including proposals, purchase orders, and vendor invoices.Administrative support including filing, drawing organization, and project archiving.Assist in maintaining samples library.QualificationsDegree (BA or MA) in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design or related field (we would consider candidates actively pursuing a degree provided they commit to a full‑time work schedule).2+ years of experience (preferred) at an architecture or interior design firm, or related position.Attention to detail, flexibility and team‑oriented professionalism are absolutely essential to success in this role.Proficient in CAD and 3D Rendering (ArchiCAD a plus), with the ability and willingness to quickly learn new programs.Professional, team‑oriented demeanor with strong written and verbal communication skills.Highly organized and self‑motivated.Tech savvy – PC and mobile platforms, plus Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe (a plus).Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.Passion for design, construction and the care of finely crafted homes.C&M offers a competitive salary and bonus structure, PTO, health and retirement benefit options, and continuing education opportunities.#J-18808-Ljbffr
