Role Description The Interior Design Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Denver, CO. This position supports the principal designers with space planning, preparing floor plans, and assisting in the development of interior design concepts. Day-to-day tasks include organizing project materials, sourcing and tracking furniture and finishes, preparing presentations and mood boards, and maintaining project documentation and samples. The assistant coordinates with vendors, helps schedule site visits, participates in client meetings, and supports installation days by ensuring plans and furnishings are correctly implemented. The role also involves clear communication with the design team, accurate note-taking, and proactive follow-up to keep projects on schedule and within scope.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills to support effective layouts and cohesive design concepts.Candidates should possess experience working with Floor Plans, including reading, updating, and preparing drawings or digital layouts.Candidates should possess knowledge of Furniture selection and coordination, including sourcing, specifications, and finish options.Candidates should possess clear Communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with designers, clients, and vendors.Proficiency with design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar) and presentation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint).Relevant education in Interior Design or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience in design support roles.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a studio environment.Comfort with on-site work, including occasional lifting or moving of samples, materials, and smaller furniture items during installations.
