Interior Design Assistant - Full Time

DESCRIPTION: The full-time Design Assistant will work alongside the Principal on all project related tasks from concept to final installation. Includes in- office work with the Principal, in-person client meetings, client site visits, and the ability to work remotely. Please submit your resume and work examples with a cover letter telling us more about you to hello@wrenstedinteriors.com RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist Principal on multiple large scale projects through all phases: concept through installation Liaise with clients, contractors and vendors to help implement the design Assist to maintain project schedules and project binders Request quotes, write proposals, place and track orders, and prepare project status and financial reports Maintain spreadsheets and other documentation regarding budget, client purchases, and marketing efforts Serve as client liaison for sending proposals and tracking proposal approval and payments Source furniture, fixtures and equipment aka FF&E; Oversee and expedite custom furnishings orders, approve CFAs Manage returns and/or replacements for damaged or unused items Prepare project meeting agendas and materials Attend client meeting and take proficient notes for design team Create and update furniture plans and elevations Assist in developing presentations Assist with social media Bring new and interesting ideas to the table QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited school Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Google Suite, CAD, and Sketch-Up Understanding of social platforms including Instagram and Pinterest (WordPress is a plus) Knowledge of IVY is a plus Own a laptop Must be dedicated and quick to learn Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload independently and as part of a team Demonstrate the need for open and direct communication both verbally and in writing Possesses leadership ability Skilled at researching finish materials and knowledge of their required applications as well as installation requirements Ability to lift at least 40 lbs. for samples and small furniture items during presentations and installations Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications Reliable car with CA Drivers License and willing to travel and run errands Please submit your resume and work examples with a cover letter telling us more about you to hello@wrenstedinteriors.com
