We are seeking an enthusiastic and organized full time Design Assistant to work in a busy residential interior design firm with offices in New Orleans and New York City. The Design Assistant will work closely with project managers and principals on projects in a wide variety of locations, and will have the opportunity to learn about all aspects of the design business. Responsibilities will include: \\- Maintaining sample library \\- Researching and sourcing products \\- Meeting with vendors \\- Attending project meetings and taking notes \\- Obtaining quotes and creating proposals and purchase orders \\- Creating presentations for client meetings \\- Placing product orders \\- Creating and maintaining delivery schedules \\- Assisting with project installations \\- Assisting with office publicity such as website and social media Qualifications include: \\- 1-2 years experience in a residential interior design firm \\- Fluent in English \\- Able to work in the US \\- Interior Design degree and AutoCAD drafting ability a plus The position will include a competitive salary based on qualifications, as well as health insurance, 401k, and paid vacation, sick days, and holidays.
