Interior Design Consultant

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to develop awareness of interior design through practical experience, observation, and interaction with a La-Z-Boy Designer while driving sales growth and contributing to our company's success. Key Responsibilities: • Develop awareness of interior design through practical experience, observation, and interaction with a La-Z-Boy Designer • Work collaboratively with the Store Manager, Sales Manager, Designer, and Associates to promote the Design program and drive overall store sales • Consistently execute the La-Z-Boy selling process to provide a favorable experience to all customers • Create sales and foster long-term relationships with our customers using excellent customer service skills, product knowledge, and the La-Z-Boy selling process Required Skills and Qualifications: • Currently enrolled in or a graduate of an Interior Design program • Experience in using floor and space planning applications • Knowledgeable of general principles of home décor and design (i.e. furniture, carpet, draperies, and color schemes) • CIDA accreditation preferred Benefits: • Average Earning Potential: $50,000 - $70,000 (inclusive of base and commission) • Post-Training Base Pay: $12 - $13.50 per hour • Commission: Earn more with UNCAPPED monthly commission ranging from 1% to 6% on individual written sales, based on your ability to meet specific individual sales goals • 401k retirement plan with company match of up to 6% • Paid time off includes: 9-11 paid holidays each year, two weeks' prorated vacation as a new hire and either personal time or state mandated sick time
