Base Pay This role offers a starting base pay of $15.24 per hour, with higher compensation available based on experience. Purpose: As an Interior Design Consultant, you will provide exceptional design services from consultation to execution, fostering lasting relationships and loyalty with our clients. You will engage with customers to understand their project needs, offer insights, and create innovative design concepts that reflect their unique style, lifestyle, and budget. Minimum Eligibility Requirements: • At least one (1) year of experience in interior design or related retail/sales roles • A degree in Design is a plus • Knowledge of hard surface flooring is advantageous • Proficiency in basic mathematical skills • A self-motivated individual comfortable with multi-tasking in a dynamic environment • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Basic computer knowledge, including the Microsoft Office suite • Internal candidates should have 12 months of experience in a design consultant position Essential Functions: • Provide a warm welcome to store customers and assist with design inquiries • Schedule design appointments and build a clientele through networking and referrals • Offer expert advice on tiles, wood, stone, and accessories for residential and commercial projects • Create and sell comprehensive, functional, and visually stunning design solutions • Manage multiple customer projects efficiently and maintain clear communication throughout all project phases • Collaborate with store leadership and team members to ensure seamless project management from inquiry to installation • Actively support and promote company goals while sharing best practices with team members • Stay updated on current and emerging design trends in your market • Utilize design applications effectively, including Salesforce and proprietary scheduling tools • Perform other related tasks as required
