Interior Designer / Showroom Sales

We are looking for a motivated, knowledgeable, and customer-focused Interior Designer to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with homeowners, designers, builders, and contractors to help them select the perfect countertop and tile materials for renovation and new construction projects.

This is a customer-facing position in a high-end showroom, so we are looking for someone who is personable, professional, organized, detail-oriented, and genuinely enjoys helping people bring their design ideas to life.

Responsibilities

Meet with customers and assist with the selection of countertop, tile, and other surface materials
Provide knowledgeable and thoughtful product recommendations based on each customer's project, style, and needs
Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer inquiries
Prepare project estimates and sales quotes
Process customer payments and orders
Schedule countertop templates and installations
Follow up with customers and project leads by phone and email
Place and manage customer orders with distributors and suppliers
Communicate with customers, vendors, contractors, and internal team members throughout the project
Maintain accurate project information and follow up on outstanding items
Provide an exceptional customer experience from the initial consultation through project completion

Qualifications & Skills

Previous interior design experience is required
Knowledge of kitchen and bath design, materials, and current design trends
Strong customer service and sales skills
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent attention to detail
Comfortable using computers and web-based order entry and processing systems
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers, team members, vendors, and contractors
Professional, friendly, and confident communication style
Self-motivated and able to work independently while also contributing to a close-knit team
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow a project through from beginning to end

Schedule*

This is a full-time, in-person position.

Monday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Wednesday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Thursday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Friday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

*One weekday off will rotate between Monday, Wednesday, and Friday each week.

Compensation

$40,000 – $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
