Interior Design / E-Commerce Assistant

Interior designer & online shop owner seeks an assistant to help with various tasks to keep the office organized & running smoothly! We are pretty laid back around here, but also are blessed to have a quite a large workload! GENERAL INFO: • Part time: 15-20 hours a week to start, but could turn into a full-time position in the future with the right fit • Flexible schedule that is determined weekly/monthly • Compensation from $15/hr +, depending on experience • The position is mostly work from home, but must be able to drive into Austin/New Braunfels/San Antonio for team meetings + to run occasional errands • Farther travel may be required on occasion for trade shows, sourcing, or project site visits • Be able to be on your feet for hours at a time and lift at least 40lbs SKILLS NEEDED: • Previous work experience or a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design is not required but preferred • Self- motivated with strong work ethic; must be willing to do tasks large and small with a positive attitude • Honest person who can work independently with little supervision and keep projects moving along • Ability to handle pressure + stay organized • Detail oriented with a passion for procedures and + efficiency • Must be flexible, dependable, + service oriented • Ability to juggle many tasks + projects at once, as well as shift focus from one project to another • Easy going personality that can troubleshoot tasks, but has the sense of urgency to prioritize tasks + stay on top of deadlines • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) Google Drive/Doc/Sheets • Experience with Shopify, Wix, and Flodesk is a bonus • Able to freestyle rap (Mostly kidding, but you get serious brownie points if you can) RESPONSIBILITIES: • Data entry + keeping all information/photos digitally organized • Prepare + manage specifications, proposals, presentations, + purchase orders • Assist principal designer in selecting fixtures + finishes for active projects • Maintaining + organizing material library • Communicate with clients, vendors, + contractors • Assist with interior design installations + deliveries • Run general office errands as requested • Provide technical support + leadership to all team members • Assist with online shop tasks such as organizing inventory + order fulfillment • Update marketing materials, website, newsletters, blog for both the interior design firm + online shop Submit your resume and a short note why you’d think you’d be a good fit.
