STS Technical Services is hiring an Interior Design Engineer in Greensboro, North Carolina. This role is responsible for performing CAD design engineering for cabin, cockpit, and baggage structures, components, and trim for aircraft interiors. This position requires strong CAD expertise, familiarity with aircraft structures, and the ability to work cross-functionally to support design, quality, and production teams. Qualifications • Associate degree in CAD-related field required; Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering preferred (equivalent experience considered) • 8+ years of engineering experience, including at least 3 years of design engineering in mechanical/interior design for aircraft or automotive interiors • Knowledge of conceptual design development for interiors in aviation or automotive environments • Familiarity with 14 CFR Part 23/25 regulations • In-depth knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) • Proficiency in CATIA V5 workbenches or equivalent 3D modeling tools (Solidworks, Unigraphics, etc.) Physical Requirements • Exposure to equipment operational noise, heat, cold, dust, and aircraft parts or fuel odors • Ability to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, climb ladders, move, reach, or stretch for extended periods • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 10 lbs.
