Project size differentiates this position from the senior level.RequirementsEssential Functions:Regularly perform work requiring independent judgment and discretion on design and presentation drafting for interior design project including planning, conceptual design, schematic design, and design development tasksParticipates in the conceptual design and provides full support through the entire projectLiaises with Project Manager, Architects, and consultants.Develops and represents lead technical viewpoint on projectsApply established interior design standardsResearch interior products and select colors/finishes/materials and document selectionsAssists in maintaining resource libraryPreform site survey and documentationComplete routine checking and/or verification tasksProficient in computer/aided drawing, presentation tools and basic Revit softwareIncorporate purposeful design to reflect the underlying "story" of the project, including consistent design flow throughout the whole building project, not just the major areasCompetencies: Knowledge of interior design concepts, practices, and proceduresAbility and experience reading architectural and other consultant drawingsProficiency in Revit and AutoCAD requiredProficiency with Adobe Creative Suites highly desirable (Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design)Proficiency with Sketch Up or Rhino highly desirable (Lumion, Enscape and V-Ray for Sketch up is a plus)Monitor billable hours to maintain project budgetStrong organizational skills, self-motivated and effective under pressureKnowledgeable of industry terminology and standard construction methods / materials preferredStrong visual discrimination and extra attention to detailStrong oral and written communication skillsCertification Requirements NCIDQ Certification is preferredSupervisory Requirements May assist younger interior staffWork Environment This position operates in a professional open office environment with low to moderate noise levels including collaborative work areas for team meetings. Each office provides collaborative work areas and shared resources such as video conferencing, printing/scanning, and a café for dining.
