Peninsula/South Bay interior design studio seeks a Summer Intern to support a growing design firm. Role is 20-30 hours/week from June - August. Job Description: Assist our design team with the following: -Assist with inputting, managing and tracking project deliverables within Asana, the team’s shared project management software tool -Assist with errands, including pickup up & dropping off samples, textiles, pillows, accessory items, etc. -Assist with sourcing of materials, furniture and design inspiration -Assist in the creation of mood boards, social media posts and visual presentations -Occasional on-site assistance with installations -Responsible for weekly maintenance of the office and organization of the sample library -Support the team with any and all design or administrative tasks that may arise -Create & organize client files Requirements: -Highly organized with a strong attention to detail -Eager to provide critical support, ability to multitask, willingness to wear multiple hats -Strong sense of resourcefulness, proactiveness & problem solving skills -Ability to work both independently & as part of a team -Excellent verbal & written communication skills -Must have a friendly demeanor & a positive, patient attitude -Proficient in Google Workspace -Willingness to learn project management software/tools -Familiarity with photoshop, autocad and sketchup a bonus -Must have a valid driver’s license, insurance & a reliable vehicle- ideally located in Peninsula/ South Bay -Must be able to be in office in Redwood City: 2-3 days/week, definitely Monday/Thursday + other day(s)/flexible -Hours: 10am-4pm (ideal, but can be flexible) -Must have a strong interest in interior design.
