Interior Design Intern

Summary: • You should be enrolled in an Interior Design or related degree program, possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, multi-tasking ability, and familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit is a plus. • You will design interiors, select finishes, produce construction documents, coordinate with engineers, attend client meetings, work in CAD/Revit, and assist with various tasks as needed. Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) is one of the largest privately held architecture and engineering firms in the Southeast. GMC has openings for Interior Design Intern in the Birmingham, AL office. The intern will assist the Interior Design Department with the following: • Design of interior environments • Selection of finishes, patterns and furnishing • Production and coordination of construction documents • Research project specific components and code analysis • Production of construction documents (plans and specifications) • Coordinate with sub consulting Engineer teams • Attend client meetings • Work in CAD and Revit • Interact with reps • Maintaining timely, effective and honest communications with management and staff • Assisting with other duties as assigned
