The Role

We are seeking a design-driven sales professional who thrives at the intersection of interior design and client relationships. This role is about more than selling furniture—it’s about guiding clients through a process that results in spaces that feel personal, functional, and lasting.

What You’ll Do

Client Experience & Sales

Create a welcoming, consultative showroom experience—never high-pressureBuild meaningful relationships with clients and understand how they liveConfidently guide clients from initial inspiration through final purchaseLead clients through customization options including fabrics, finishes, scale, and configurationClose sales through trust, expertise, and follow-throughDesign & Consultation

Execute Mercato’s in-home design process in alignment with company standardsAssist with space planning, product selection, and cohesive room designPresent personalized solutions that balance comfort, function, and aestheticCollaborate with the design team on larger or full-home projectsSales Process & Follow-Through

Manage the full sales cycle: approach, discovery, presentation, objection handling, closing, and post-sale serviceMaintain ongoing relationships with past and prospective clientsCreate and present customized design and product proposalsProduct Knowledge & Expertise

Develop a deep understanding of luxury materials, craftsmanship, and constructionStay current on design trends, materials, and global influencesCommunicate the value and differentiation of high-end furnishingsWho You Are
