Interior Design Part-Time Lecturer

Position Title Interior Design Part-Time Lecturer Official duties and responsibilities of part-time faculty members at the University include teaching and professional activities as assigned. Ensure implementation of CIDA standards in all courses taught.Prepare and administer timely and meaningful exams and assessments for assigned courses.Work collaboratively with departmental faculty to ensure standard curriculum outcomes are met.Adapt course teaching methods and course content, as needed, based on feedback received by Program Director and full-time faculty.Be available outside of class to help students learn as well as to answer their questions (1 hour required office time per 3-hour class, physically and/or electronically).Adhere to UIW Faculty Handbook policies and procedures, including timely record keeping of student activities, fair and equitable evaluation of student performance, and timely feedback to students regarding their performance in the course.Document lectures, PowerPoints, handouts, and student tests and projects for CIDA binders; complete CIDA Binder at the end of each semester.Conduct respectful relationships with University faculty, staff and students both in and outside the classroom.Maintain contact with the department Program Director and participate in departmental events and meetings upon request.Perform other duties as assigned. Ability to deliver instruction both in-person and online, as needed.Ability to effectively learn, use, and incorporate industry-relevant technology into teaching, but not limited to, AR/VR, 3D Printing, and AI applications.Willingness and flexibility to teach day, evening course sections as needed.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Outstanding conflict resolution skills.Demonstrated time management and detail-oriented skills.Computer-based skills (i.e. software, including design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, Revit & SketchUp), analytical skills, and report writing skills.Commitment to implementation of CIDA standards in all courses within scope of responsibility.Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA . Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in the field of interior design.
