Elite Sourcing is working with an established architecture and design firm seeking an experienced Interior Design Professional with a strong background in Retail Interiors and Branded Environments for their NY office. About the Role: Interface directly with clients throughout the design phase Collaborate with the Design Director and assist in overseeing the design team Develop preliminary retail programs and project requirements Develop test-fits, schematic design planning, program analysis, and basic code analysis Create and coordinate retail store layouts, including sales areas and back-of-house (BOH) spaces Design and coordinate retail fixturing, including wall systems, gondolas, vitrines, POS stations, and specialty displays Develop custom millwork design, including detailing, specifications, and fabrication intent Select, present, and specify furniture, finishes, materials, and accessories Prepare and support design scope and budget documentation for fixtures, millwork, and specialty elements Organize, prepare, and participate in client design presentations Coordinate design requirements with clients, consultants, fabricators, and internal project teams Review engineering documents, shop drawings, fixture drawings, and submittals for compliance with design intent Balance creative design concepts with technical execution throughout all phases of a project Support projects through schematic design, design development, contract documents, and construction Conduct periodic project-site visits during construction 5+ years of professional experience in Retail Interiors, and/or Architecture Strong concept-design experience within retail and branded environments Demonstrated experience with retail store planning, including sales areas and BOH layouts Proven experience designing and coordinating retail fixtures and custom millwork Strong proficiency with SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite Ability to create photo-realistic renderings using Enscape and AI-driven visualization software Strong understanding of schematic design, design development, and contract documents Experience coordinating directly with consultants, fabricators, and other project partners Ability to communicate design concepts effectively through drawings, renderings, presentations, and client meetings Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced design environment Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a design team Strong understanding of design intent and the ability to carry concepts through documentation and fabrication Pay: $90K–$120K DOE Hybrid Work Environment Full Benefits Package Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Professional growth and advancement opportunities
