The Christopher C. Gibbs College of Architecture at the University of Oklahoma is seeking a full-time Interior Design Professor to join its highly-ranked program, beginning in January or August 2024. As an educator and/or design practitioner, the successful candidate will focus on providing a student-centric, collaborative learning environment to interior design students. The University of Oklahoma, a Carnegie R1 Institution (Very High Research Activity), welcomes all applicants who meet the stated qualifications without any regard to race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, genetic information, gender identity, gender expression, age, religion, disability, political beliefs, or veteran status. • Responsibilities • Teach undergraduate and graduate Interior Design courses including lecture courses and design studios with opportunities for community-engaged design projects. • Required Qualifications • An accredited professional degree in Interior Design or Architecture; • Demonstrated teaching expertise related to the CIDA-accredited Interior Design curriculum in support of undergraduate and graduate Interior Design courses; • Ability to support a collegial and collaborative working environment in addition to possessing effective communication and interpersonal skills.
