Interior Design: Project & Design Coordinator

Our projects include both renovations and new builds, where our work encompasses all phases of design and construction, from concept to completion. Our studio team is small, so involvement in all aspects of the design process is both important and a necessity; this includes general office administration, presentation design, client meetings and client relations, vendor relations, purchasing and order management, specification and sourcing for FF&E;, and design and drafting for interior architecture. The main focus of this position will be to support the principal designer with administrative tasks, presentations, procurement and project management. This role is perfect for a self- motivated, independent individual with a strong work ethic, and strategic mindset. Job Functions Include: • Submitting RFQs to vendors and collecting product information • Integrating sourced items into budgets, presentations, finish and materials schedules • Purchasing furnishings, creating client invoices and vendor POs, and tracking orders • Developing design presentations, schemes for our tiered packages, and furnishing and material schemes • Collaborating with design consultants and vendors to execute the production of custom furnishings, cabinetry, lighting and architectural elements • Participation in client meetings and presentations • Managing the agenda and expectations of clients and contractors • Performing site visits with contractors and supervising installers • Meeting with sales representatives and maintaining vendor accounts • Assisting the team in keeping the office organized and clean • Maintaining the materials library with incoming resources and outgoing returns • Maintaining the product and inventory library for our internal and online marketplace • Coordinating and managing shipments and deliveries Additional Responsibilities Based On Skill Level: • Developing drawing sets ready for construction • Designing custom cabinetry and furniture •Approving shop drawings Desired Skills & Experience: • A college degree or equivalent experience in Interior Design or Architecture • 1 - 2 years experience at a high-end residential interior design firm • Advanced written skills and ability to communicate effectively • Familiarity with both contemporary and antique offerings, both online and at showrooms • Client-facing skills in high-end markets • On-site construction and contractor/installer experience • Working knowledge of construction document sets and permit sets • Experience designing custom furniture, upholstery, and window coverings • Familiarity with the local Design Center and Interior Design Showrooms • Valid WA driver’s license and car Program and Software Requirements: • MacOS system • Adobe Creative Suite • Microsoft Office • Google Drive (Cloud-based file hosting and documents) • Dropbox (Cloud-based file hosting) • Experience with an interior design purchasing and invoicing platform or quickbooks • Experience with AutoCAD is a plus • Experience with SketchUp or 3D modeling is a plus • Must be local to Seattle, role will be both in office and remote • Able to lift 40 - 50lbs • Must love dogs.
