Interior Design Project Manager

Consult with clients to determine function and spatial requirements, and prepare information regarding design, specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time.Plan layouts of projects and integrate engineering elements into unified designs for client review and approval.Prepare client and consultant agreements for Principal review and execution.Implement all phases of a design project, including contracts, budgeting, scheduling, planning, design, documentation, specifications, and construction, including the selection and specification of furniture.Manage client expectations regarding project scope, budget, and schedule to ensure understanding of services provided and timelines.Maintain positive client relationships throughout the project and keep clients apprised of project progress regularly.Develop detailed project schedules and communicate key deliverable dates to project teams.Provide leadership, resources, and technical advice for generating construction documents for interior environments, ensuring adherence to design intent.Ensure project documentation and contracts are in compliance with standards and review documents for adherence to building and ADA codes.Represent clients in obtaining bids and awarding construction contracts, and assist with negotiating fees and contracts.Communicate with consultants, contractors, sub-consultants, and other disciplines to ensure project details are carried out.Incorporate Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.Mentor and direct less experienced staff, participate in professional development reviews and 'Lessons Learned' sessions.Foster a commitment to external and internal client service.Essential Skills Bachelor’s degree in interior design or architecture or equivalent in education or experience, with a Master’s degree preferred.12+ years of experience in interior design practice with 5 years of project management experience in all phases through post-occupancy.NCIDQ certification preferred.If registered Architect, NCARB registration preferred and current registered member of AIA preferred.Ability to work in a team environment.LEED credential required within 12 months of employment.Advanced knowledge of design principles and the ability to interpret design concepts and layouts.Proficiency in Deltek Vision highly preferred.Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook required.Additional Skills & Qualifications Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
