Key Responsibilities: Drive concept development and shape design narratives for aviation projects, including premium lounges and terminal interiors.Enhance guest experiences by transforming brand stories into immersive spatial designs.Collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision and bring it to life through innovative, practical designs.Select materials, finishes, and furnishings that embody both aesthetic value and operational efficiency.Lead and mentor a dynamic team of designers, promoting a culture of creativity and teamwork.Present design concepts clearly and confidently, ensuring strong communication of ideas.Manage project delivery effectively, maintaining design intent throughout the documentation and construction processes.Work in partnership with architects, consultants, and brand strategists to create harmonious experiences.Engage with the design and aviation community to build professional relationships and identify new project opportunities.Establish competitive fee structures for project proposals and oversee project schedules to ensure timely completion within budget.Provide clear leadership to project teams by defining roles and leveraging team strengths, while also fostering their professional growth.Encourage open discussions regarding design and technical innovation among team members.Oversee material selection and administration of construction phases, including documentation and response to inquiries.Champion innovative design solutions and continuous improvement in project performance.Navigate regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with building codes in your designs.Qualifications: A degree from a CIDA accredited Interior Design program or equivalent.10+ years of interior design experience, preferably in aviation, hospitality, or luxury commercial sectors.A strong portfolio showcasing design excellence from concept to realization.In-depth understanding of enhancing guest experiences and brand identity through design.Proficiency in Revit and experience with FF&E selection, detailing, and documentation.Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.Proven ability to manage intricate projects and client relationships.An interest in sustainable design practices and innovative solutions.Professional registration is preferred.Strong understanding of building processes and the ability to ensure constructability supports project design and budget.Demonstrated success in managing diverse consultants and contractors.Experience with managing project fees and schedules effectively.Confident presentation skills.This position is a full-time, on-site role requiring regular attendance in our Los Angeles office during standard business hours.
