Job Overview: The Sales and Design Associate plays a vital role in the success of Living Spaces by delivering exceptional customer experiences through expert interior design advice, product knowledge, and sales proficiency. This individual will work closely with guests to understand their design goals and preferences, providing tailored recommendations to meet their needs. Key Responsibilities: • Engage guests in a consultative selling approach, utilizing the Living Spaces Guest Engagement Model to drive sales and enhance the customer experience • Conduct thorough consultations to determine guests' design goals and requirements, including space planning and product selection • Provide expert product knowledge, making recommendations based on guests' preferences and budget • Maintain current knowledge of merchandise lines, including product features, benefits, and availability • Process transactions accurately and efficiently in the Point of Sale system • Participate in ongoing learning opportunities to stay up-to-date on industry trends and product knowledge • Collaborate with the store team to achieve revenue targets and deliver exceptional guest experiences Requirements: • Associate degree or equivalent from a community college or four-year college in interior design or a related field • 1-2 years of experience in customer service, retail, or furniture store environment • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with guests and colleagues alike • Ability to work weekends and most holidays, as well as adapt to a fast-paced environment
