Our retail space specializes in high end furniture, lighting, rugs and accessories. Our retail/ design position is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic and creative environment while gaining design industry knowledge and serving customers with their home furnishing needs. • Drives sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge. • Assists owner in purchasing new inventory for the store Designer Responsibilities • Assist clients by sourcing products for their home from our list of preferred vendors • Create design proposals with pricing and availability • Create floor plan sketches to scale, considering furniture dimensions • Ability to cohesively put together visual presentations for clients • Meet with clients in person to discuss design scope and needs • Correspond/follow up regularly with clients regarding their project • Coordinate/assist install team during furniture delivery Qualifications • Design experience required, portfolio recommended • Strong communication skills • Ability to understand/learn pricing strategies • Technical Skills; ability to learn new applications, strong proficiency in MS Word Applications • Work Hours : $30 per hour + commission on sales. Education and Experience Requirements: • High school diploma or GED • 2 years of retail experience or graduate of a design program • Interest in interior design • Reliable transportation (4X4 in winter) This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to gain valuable experience in the world of design and excel.
