Interior Design Summer Intern

This is a temporary role, and this candidate should be actively pursuing a degree in interior design, interior architecture, or architecture. The position reports to Senior Technical Architect. Collaborate as part of a team and work on a wide range of projects through all phases of design and construction Assist in the production of accurate technical drawings, documents, and project specifications, apply established interior design standards Use project checklists and HHA established standards during all project phases Participate in building assessments and field verification activities Generate interior architecture concepts with Senior Designer(s) for projects to including but not limited to, space planning, ceiling design, elevation development, millwork development and detailing, integrated built-in components, furniture and equipment planning, and finish pallet selection and plans Work with Senior Designers on the development of design solutions including researching and selecting finishes, materials, products, fixtures and furniture for projects Research interiors products, maintain resource materials library and coordinate with local product reps and maintain calendar Attend project meetings and site visits; write meeting minutes and reports detailing observations Support business development activities through assistance with aids such as presentations and renderings Review completed plans, reports, estimates and calculations prior to review by supervisor or project manager Work closely with project leadership and team to achieve a high level of project success Apply a rigorous concept-based design process to justify decision making Actively pursuing a degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field Portfolio of work is required for consideration.
