Anna Knight Interiors is looking for an innovative designer with a strong work ethic and passion for high-end residential projects to join our... vibrant team. • Innovative designer and creative problem solver with a strong work ethic • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design or Architecture • 3-5 years of experience in interior design • Expert skill level in residential space planning and AutoCAD (responsible for accurate field measurements, plan and elevation development, and creating detailed full interior drawing sets) • Highly organized and able to multitask, prioritize, and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment. Loves the feeling of checking things twice – or three times – and knowing you got every detail perfect • Experience sourcing and specifying all products relative to interior design • Dependable, resourceful problem solver, eager to try new things and seek solutions with limited supervisor direction • Microsoft Office (particularly PPT) and Adobe • Must be a team player with a positive and fun attitude and a no-drama/ego personality • Present professionalism and skill relating to high-end clients • Background in cabinetry design, furniture selection, and custom furniture preferred • Experience with Studio Designer (or similar management program) strongly preferred • 3D modeling skills not required but a compelling plus • Valid driver’s license and transportation (and must be comfortable driving in Chicago) • Develop and execute detailed interior design schemes from conception through completion with limited supervision • Create client presentations (in AutoCAD and Powerpoint or Adobe Creative Suite) to communicate concepts and design intent and actively participate in presentation meetings • Meaningfully contribute to the creative direction of a project and the firm • Select finishes, furniture, lighting, fabrics, and other decorative elements and source from various vendors, subcontractors, and artisans • Manage multiple projects at the same time, and maintain strong relationships and prompt communication with clients and vendors to drive progress and stay on budget • Design custom furniture and cabinetry to achieve the design vision • Support our Project Coordinator when needed (soliciting quotes, vetting for accuracy in preparation for client proposals, etc.). • Stay current on new products and resources to ensure our design specifications, products, and presentations are best-in-class • Manage and supervise design assistant(s) and delegation of tasks as appropriate • Oversee and execute site measures of existing conditions (floorplans, elevations, lighting, and HVAC locations) for every project • Execute construction documents, including drawings for custom millwork, tile layouts, electrical and lighting plans, etc., and create and maintain detailed finish schedules • Organize and execute flawless final turnkey installations, including styling with accessories
