Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing work by in-house staff, A-E firms, and other offices for excellence and compliance with regulations and criteria; making direct recommendations to other technical units, covering matters such as estimated time for completion of work, factual and technical data, and the cost of alternate methods, materials, or equipment; commenting on preliminary and final design documents prepared by A-E firms by giving guidance and performing reviews; preparing preliminary engineering and architectural final plans and detail drawings for a variety of projects, in support of large organizations; performing a variety of design support work, including making and checking computations, reviewing, and annotating contractor shop drawings, searching for, and obtaining needed technical information and preparation of reports; and attending pre-design and design review conferences and representing the agency in all interior design related issues.
