With that in mind, we encourage all qualified applicants to apply. by applying interior design experience, a creative knowledge of space planning and interior design systems with given requirements from ecclesiastical leaders and design management and using presentation skills to disseminate the design concept.20% - Provides professional interior design consultation to Church departments upon request by teaching and training with hands-on experience, by written and verbal communications.10% - Correlates the research, evaluation, and procurement of furnishings for all Church facilities, as requested, by reviewing and gathering feedback from TCD, PFD, CES, Church auxiliary organizations, mission & temple presidents, General Authorities and suggestions made by consultants and user board members.10% - Participates in the production of training materials and written guidelines by utilizing the information given from the Director, Section managers, staff from other Divisions and Departments, and other requesting auxiliaries, by writing, filming, and using computer tools to generate appropriate materials.10% - Consults with other Interior Designers, Architects and management of AED Services, TCD and PFD.QualificationsEducation/Experience - Bachelor's degree in Interior Design and 8 years of non-residential interior design experience or Associate Degree in Interior Design and a minimum of 10 years of experience in non-residential interior designProfessional Registration - Professional member of ASID or ICAA and hold NCIDQ registration.Skill Level - Thorough understanding of interior design; ability to provide successful solutions to complex interior design problems; strong creative ability; willingness to be sensitive to Church policy and management expectations; must possess the maturity and skill to effectively communicate design ideas to varied audiences, a knowledge of furnishings and their history, space planning, programming, architectural requirements, building code familiarity as they relate to interior design; cost estimating.
