We are looking for an experienced, creative Interior Designer to work on a variety of residential design projects under our principal designer, Roger Higgins of R. Higgins Interiors in Nashville, TN. Must be excellent at multi tasking and thrive working in a fast paced environment. **Job is located in Nashville, must be willing to relocate ASAP** Responsibilities Undertake design project from concept to completion Define project requirements and scheduling Interpret and translate customer needs into rough plans Set costs and project fees according to budget Research and decide on materials and products sourcing Produce “sample” and “mood boards" Supervise work progress Work closely with designers, decorators, architects and contractors Research and follow industry changes, evolutions and best practices Skills Minimum of 5 years proven work experience in decorating residential interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning and new constructions) Studio Designer experience a plus Expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture and all installations. Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or other design programs Excellent portfolio of previous works Creative talent, imagination and eye for design Communication and presentation skills Project management skills Degree in Interior Design preferred
