Interior Designer

They should have a sophisticated eye and a people-centric attitude. Their responsibilities will include: • Work closely with Principal on all phases of projects from programming through installation • Develop design concepts and create mood boards and presentations, and proposals • Request vendor quotes and generate proposals for client approval • Select fabrics, furniture, finishes, and lighting that is consistent with the design aesthetic • Generate FF&E and architectural finish specifications (stone, tile, plumbing, hardware) • Create and manage project schedules, and budgets • Draft plans and elevations, and create renderings to communicate design intent • Complete detailed drawings for custom furniture or millwork • Prepare for and attend client meetings, site visits, and installations • Coordinate with architects, contractors, vendors, and craftspeople to ensure outcome of project • Minimum of three years experience in high end interior design/project management • Degree in Interior Design or Architecture • High level of organization and attention to detail • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously • Excellent communication and presentation skills • A capacity for developing resourceful and innovative solutions • Work independently as well as collaboratively with team • Manage project budgets and deadlines • Proficiency with AutoCAD and REVIT required • Hand sketching, Sketch Up, Designer Advantage, and Studio Designer a plus Salary starts at $45,000 per year and is dependent on experience.
