Interior Designer 3-4 Years Experience

We are a small interior design firm with projects from Seattle to New York. We primary focus on custom residential design however we do have some ongoing commercial projects. As we grow we are looking to add creative designers to the team. We look forward to hearing from you! KEY RESPONSIBILITIES -Formulate preliminary space plans and two- and three-dimensional design concept studies and sketches that integrate the client's needs and are based on knowledge of the principles of interior design and theories of human behavior -Oversee the implementation of interior design solutions for each project from concept stage through installation -Select colors, materials and finishes to appropriately convey the design concept, functional, life-cycle performance, environmental, and safety requirement -Select and specify furniture, fixtures, equipment including layout drawings and detailed product description; and provision of contract documentation to facilitate pricing, procurement and installation of furniture -Material sourcing and specifications -Custom furniture and textile design -Prepare specifications and schedules with accurate product information for all furniture, lighting and finishes -Coordination and collaboration with other design professionals who may be retained to provide consulting services, including but not limited to architects; structural, mechanical and electrical engineers, and various specialty consultants -Prepare presentation decks including mood imagery and 2D and 3D renderings Skills Degree in Interior Design -Minimum of 3 years interior design experience -Excellent presentation skills, including space planning and drawing -Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT -Ability to read a set of construction documents and section details -Ability to create and manage Excel spreadsheets -Proficiency in of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop -Experience selecting and specifying lighting, furnishings, hardware, floor/window coverings, materials, and finishes -Experience with Ivy or Studio Designer -Experience with purchasing and budgets COMPENSATION WILL BE BASED ON EXPERIENCE ROLE IS A CONTRACT
