This position will serve as the liaison between the Principal Designer and the other employees of the firm, clients, and vendors. The Interior Designer will be required to have an extensive understanding of the interior design firm’s overall operations and current best practices. Project Management and Communication: • Coordinate with contractors, architects, engineers, subcontractors, furniture receivers and installers, and other trade professionals • Create and manage project timeline schedules • Communicate with clients on all aspects of design implementation • Maintain professionalism and provide excellent client experience to represent firm’s image Requirements: • Full-Time Position (40 hours per week) • Must be able to pass a background check • Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, full insurance coverage, and a reliable automobile (this position entails visiting showrooms to obtain samples, dropping off and picking up samples or other materials at client and vendor locations, field measuring, attendance at client meetings, and other errands) • Must be comfortable working from the Principal Designer’s home office • Must be comfortable working with team members and industry partners • Must have the ability to bend and reach from ground level to 6 feet in height, as well as, push, pull, lift, and carry up to 25lbs; must be able to hold and grip objects • Must be able to visit job sites • Some travel will be required Experience: • Interior design: 2 years (Required)
