Interior Designer

With an equal passion for delivering excellence in design and client experience, BJI is seeking a talented and motivated Interior Designer to manage luxury residential and boutique commercial projects.. This position will work with the principal and studio team to execute flawless projects from inception through completion. Design and execute clear coordinated interior design projects, from concept design through installation Own project responsibilities including key points of contact for all client, contractor, architect, vendor/supplier communications Lead the sourcing of fabrics, furniture, lighting, fixtures, tile, plumbing, equipment, and accessories and prepare sample and material boards Create furniture layouts, perspectives, and render for presentation Build and manage FFE project budgets based on design intent Create and maintain production documents including detailed FFE specifications and paint, trim and door schedules Create and redline design drawings used to guide construction, including floor plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans and detail drawings Review and approve shop drawings for custom millwork, furniture and cabinetry fabrication Plan and oversee installation preparation, logistics, and project close out Foster and create extensive industry contacts with workrooms, showrooms, and vendors Work seamlessly with our procurement team to facilitate the purchasing of approved merchandise Perform additional requests as they relate to operations
