Interior Designer

The Interior Designer will collaborate with a highly experienced construction management and field employee team, and an award-winning in-house custom cabinet shop, to design high-end residential or commercial remodel or new build projects. Starting pay is DOE - dependent on experience Work with clients for residential or commercial projects to determine goals and requirements for the space to be designed.Research applicable building and development codes and incorporate them into the the early project requirementsDesign and draft conceptual and schematic designs for residential and light commercial remodels and new construction projects. The interior designer will work with the client from the concept phase through the end of construction.Assist the estimating team by answering RFI’s as neededAttend site visits and review plans with trade partnersAssist clients with in selecting fixtures, finishes, cabinet design and layout, interior and exterior designAssist Sales with presenting rough budgets and final contracts to clients for approval.Apply for permits and respond to plan review letters from local jurisdictionsProject coordination and organization tasks as neededPurchasing and tracking of select fixtures and samples required to complete the design or projectAttend on-site construction meetings with clients and project managerMaintain weekly communication with all clients to keep project on schedule (phone calls, emails, text messages, meetings ,etc. 3D drafting and rendering software: Chief Architect, Revit, SketchUp or AutoCAD.Knowledge in Chief Architect or Revit is preferred.Great Time management.Multi-Tasking, take on many jobs at once in various stages of design and construction.Creativity and ability to collaborate with clients to create a functional and beautiful space.Strong client communication, verbal and written.Sales skills are a plus but not required.High energy work ethic is a must.A self-driven organized person is a must.Experience in residential or light commercial design working closely with clients.Experience with construction drawings and submitting for permits.Knowledge on materials, fixtures and finishes selections.Knowledge on requesting bids and estimates.Qualifications:
