SJS Executives LLC seeks an Interior Designer to support Engineering & Design projects at U.S. government facilities. You will plan, design, and document interior environments that are functional, safe, and aesthetically aligned with federal standards and mission needs. Responsibilities include programming, space planning, finish and furniture selection, construction documentation, and coordination with architects, engineers, and contractors. Develop interior design concepts and space plans for government and commercial facilities Prepare drawings, specifications, and finish/furniture schedules using CAD/BIM tools Select materials, finishes, fixtures, and furnishings compliant with codes and federal standards Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders throughout project lifecycle Conduct site visits, field verifications, and as-built documentation Ensure designs meet life-safety, accessibility, and building code requirements Prepare presentations, mood boards, and design packages for client review and approval Support project budgeting, FF&E procurement, and installation oversight Maintain project documentation and adhere to schedule and quality standards Collaborate within a culture of respect, integrity, and continuous professional growth Interior space planning AutoCAD or Revit 3D visualization/rendering software Construction documentation Knowledge of building codes and ADA Finish and material specification Furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) planning Reading and interpreting architectural drawings Project coordination with A/E teams Client presentation and communication Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k NCIDQ certification preferred or in progress Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field from an accredited program Familiarity with federal/government facility standards a plus LEED or other sustainability credential preferred
