California Daydreams is a full-service residential interior design firm based in Larkspur, California, specializing in creating functional, deeply thoughtful family homes designed for real life. Our signature style is inspired by the beauty of California - approachable, intentional, and layered with natural elements. We work with families throughout Marin County to reimagine their home, whether through a remodel, new build, or furnishings. We are a tight-knit, collaborative team that prides itself on professionalism, warmth, and an elevated client experience. We are looking for a passionate, detail-oriented Interior Designer who is drawn to our aesthetic to join our studio.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The interior designer will closely collaborate with our Principal Designer on the design of our projects. The ideal candidate is a creative team player who will be responsible for all technical drawings and putting together the design plans. You must be able to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

Assist with project process from initial moodboards to completionDraft floorplans, elevations + renderingsCreate design plans based on project scope, desired aesthetic + functional needsSource hard and soft finishes within project budgetsCoordinate detailed design specs with vendorsAssist with client and vendor communication, timelines + budgetsQualifications

2+ years in residential interior design (3-5+ years preferred)SketchUp proficiency is requiredWorking knowledge of residential California building codeA strong eye for interior design + spatial planningMust be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to multitaskStrong communication, time management, project management, and customer service skillsExperience with Canva, ClickUp, Dubsado and/or Programa a plusIdeal candidate can juggle multiple projects and tasks at the same timeAble to lift up to 20 pounds if needed (for photoshoots and installs)Details

Part-time, hourly position based in our Larkspur, CA office, approximately 25 - 35 hours per week401K with matching offeredFull access to vendor discounts9am - 4pm office hours, closed for school holidaysThis position has flexibility for additional responsibilities based on experience and skills. Competitive pay, dependent on experience.
