Interior Designer - Education & Government

You have conceptual and technical delivery/documentation design skills for interior architecture and interior design projects, and you have a portfolio showcasing your innovative designs. You are an integral member of the design team who itches to contribute a point of view and craves participation in all phases of our projects from conceptual thought process and design exploration through construction administration. Your Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture • Approximately 10-15 years of interior design experience with varying project types with an emphasis on experience with Education and Government projects • Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, 3D Studio Max and other modeling software programs • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) • Advanced knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications • Advanced knowledge of interior construction documents • Advanced knowledge of applicable codes and safety considerations • Strong storytelling ability, both verbal and written, that conveys purpose and impact • Strong graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas • NCIDQ/CID certification • Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices; Ideally portfolios will include at least one project (especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel, and/or Net Zero Building certification) with this particular focus At Gensler, we are as committed to enjoying life as we are to delivering best-in-class design.
