We are looking for a residential Interior Designer who is interested in working on an as-needed, but ongoing basis as an independent contractor for Penny + Piper Interiors. What you’ll do... • Introductory phone call with Interior Design client leads • Scheduling and handling complimentary onsite walk through for client leads • Writing project estimates/proposals for client leads • Handling all tasks in Design Software (Mydoma). • Creating and sending client questionnaire • Scheduling and hosting client Discovery Call • Prepare initial sketches, boards, thoughts, concept images • Capture field measurements • Concept Development: Mood Boards, Space Planning, FF&E Recommendations, obtaining 3rd party quotes • Design Development: Recommended materials & finishes, final space plan, elevations & detailed drawings, 3D Modeling & Renderings • Procurement: Sourcing all products, sending client product proposal, managing budgets, handling orders & tracking • Installation: Scheduling and facilitating installation with warehouse. Your own vehicle, vehicle insurance, and a valid US Driver’s License • Flexible Schedule: Availability to work on an as-needed basis, accommodating client schedules and project timelines • Creative Independence: Work independently with minimal supervision, showcasing strong creative and design skills • Design Software: Designer will need their own license to AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop • Design Software Proficiency: Experience with design software, (Mydoma is a plus), for managing client leads, projects, proposals, orders, and tracking information • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions, vendor communication, and internal meetings • Project Management Skills: Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, manage budgets, track orders, and ensure timely delivery and installation • Technical Skills: Competence in creating sketches, concept images, mood boards, space planning, detailed drawings, 3D modeling, and renderings • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail for capturing field measurements, preparing project estimates, and ensuring accuracy in all design elements • Reliable Technology: Access to a reliable computer and internet for online work, including virtual client meetings and managing tasks through design software Expect to work anywhere between 5-25 hours/week • Pay starting at $24/hour
