Interior Designer | High End Residential

HIGH END RESIDENTIAL INTERIOR DESIGNER A small, boutique high-end residential interior design firm is seeking a talented Interior Designer with at least 4-7 years’ experience in high-end residential design. This position offers an incredible opportunity for a detailed, motivated, and passionate individual to grow with an established and well-respected design firm. Responsibilities Include: • Support Principal with all aspects of projects • Participate in Client meetings, inclusive of taking very detailed notes for documentation and distribution to team. • Coordinate conceptual presentations • Take accurate on-site measurements and documentation through photos • Produce detailed Sketch-Up drawings and 3D renderings for ID sets • Create floor plans, color and material schemes • Project management including developing and managing budgets • Prepare all input for purchasing and order processing • On-site coordination with builders, GCs, and sub-contractors Requirements Include: • Have relevant experience or hold a degree in Interior Design, 4-7 years of professional experience in high-end residential design is a must with a background of new construction and extensive renovations • Be able to demonstrate strong capabilities in handling and overseeing multiple projects from concept through final installation • Have the ability to work efficiently and effectively under deadlines and meet them on time • Must love working and succeeding in a fast-paced work environment with the ability to adapt quickly • Ability to think outside the box and problem solve, at Studio James we only see opportunity in “issues” that arise • Must have impeccable attention to detail, be extremely organized and take direction well • Have a strong ability to communicate in writing without spelling or homonym errors • Proficiency in construction drawings, codes, materials, furniture, finish selections and specifications • Must be able to produce an Interior Design set of construction drawings • Must be proficient and have very strong skills in Sketch Up, Podium, Revit, and AutoCAD • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Microsoft Office, and SketchUp • Experience with product sourcing and the procurement process • Extremely professional, reliable, and punctual, be able to work late as needed including during installs, have personal stability, and live within the Vail Valley • Possess extensive product and vendor knowledge • Self-motivated and strong time management skills to successfully work on multiple projects at the same time • Have well- developed prioritizing and delegation skills • Clear and confident speaking voice with a pleasant and professional presence • Have a valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle capable of handling the mountain weather without issues • Willing to travel within state and out of state for projects • This is not a work from home position Compensation: • $80-$90K salary per year, amount decided on will depend on your experience level • 2-week accrued vacation (year one), 3-week vacation (after year two), 4-week vacation (after year five) • Cell phone ($75 per month) and expense reimbursement • $300 per month health insurance stipend after 90 days Next Steps: • Please visit our website and make sure you align with our values and style of design: www.studio-james.com • Show us your attention to detail and please apply via email with your resume, portfolio inclusive of interior design drawings and renderings, and a cover letter letting us know how you would be the best fit for our team.
