Interior Designer - Hospitality - Senior

As a Gensler Interior Designer, you are passionate about your craft and combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. You have conceptual and technical delivery/documentation design skills for interior architecture and interior design projects, and you have a portfolio showcasing your innovative designs. You are an integral member of the design team who itches to contribute a point of view and craves participation in all phases of our projects from conceptual thought process and design exploration through construction administration. Your Qualifications • NCIDQ/RID Certification required • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture • 10+ years of Hospitality interior design experience • Proficient with Revit, SketchUp, 3D Studio Max and other modeling software programs • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) • Extensive knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications for Hospitality projects • Extensive knowledge of interior construction documents for hospitality projects • Advanced experience with construction administration for hospitality projects • Procurement oversight for hospitality projects • Advanced knowledge of applicable codes and safety considerations • Project management and team leadership/mentorship experience • Strong storytelling ability, both verbal and written, that conveys purpose and impact • Strong graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas • Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices; Ideally portfolios will include at least one project (especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel, and/or Net Zero Building certification) with this particular focus Successful candidates will be located in the Nashville, Tennessee area.
