Their main duties include developing creative and practical design solutions for a wide variety of clients, projects, and locations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):Create 3D Concepts, Floor Plans, Elevations and Construction DetailsListen and Think Analytically to Reach Creative and Practical SolutionsCreate Compelling Visual Communications & Graphic Design Layouts (mechanically and/or digitally)Proficient at Spatial Arrangement and Placement of Objects within Interior (and Exterior) EnvironmentsFundamental Understanding and use of Architectural Elements and Furnishings, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E)Familiarization with Common Décor & Design StylesPrepare Inspirational and Sample Development Boards for Presentation Understand Basic Construction Materials & MethodsSource and Cite proposed materials (FF&E) throughout the Design ProcessSupport all Departmental, Business Development and Company-Wide Design Initiatives Additional Duties and Responsibilities:Effective use of time managementMaintain a safe work environment and ensure the maintenance and upkeep of the physical locationMaintain a positive attitude and the ability to change directions multiple times throughout the workdayTake initiative and seek to expand upon skills/talents through outside opportunities. Examples may include, but not limited to, design symposiums, training opportunities, or trends in design, FF&E, software, etc.Project Site Visits, at least once annually, to develop design practices that complement and support the Manufacturing and Execution Team’s efforts (from a buildability, logistically, and practicality standpoint) Support Graphic Design staff on 2D Production Layouts when necessaryLead and Participate in Internal Design Reviews with project teams Assist with additional projects on an as-needed basis Ability to maintain favorable public relationsKnowledge and Skills:Experience and application of interior design principles and aptitude of transferring those skills computer-aided renderingsAptitude with graphic software including but not limited to SketchUp, Enscape, and Adobe software (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop).Possesses excellent communication skills, leadership, problem solving, project and people management as well as analytical skills.Capacity for collaboration, while leading, coaching, and motivating other team members on a proactive basis.
