Interior Designer Job at Rochman Design Build in Ann Arbor

This individual will play a vital role in crafting elegant, livable interiors for full-home renovations, kitchen and bath remodels, and custom additions. Ideal candidates will have a strong design aesthetic, excellent client-facing skills, and a passion for working in a collaborative design-build environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and present design concepts for high-end home renovations and additionsLead and support interior design projects from initial concept through construction completionCollaborate closely with in-house architectural designer on our typical large scale projectsConduct site visits to measure and document existing conditionsConduct client discovery meetings to understand lifestyle needs, preferences, and project scopeDevelop floor plans, elevations, renderings, and construction drawings using Chief ArchitectCreate mood boards, palettes, and detailed presentation packagesSelect and specify high-quality materials, fixtures and finishes that match client needs and budgetCollaborate closely with project managers, estimator, and carpenters to ensure alignment between design intent and executionParticipate in on-site visits and design reviews throughout construction phasesStay current on trends, products, materials, and codes relevant to residential remodelingWhat We’re Looking For5+ years experience of interior design experience (residential remodeling preferred)Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related fieldProficiency in Chief Architect or ability to learn quicklyExceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsComputer knowledge and proficiency with digital tools (Microsoft Office, project management software, mobile apps)Strong interpersonal skills with client-facing mindsetCreative mindset, good sense of humor and passion for designAbout UsRochman Design Build is a highly respected, award-winning boutique residential remodeling firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
