Interior DesignerA fast-paced, full-service design firm in Grand Rapids is looking to add a full-time Interior Designer to their team.ResponsibilitiesDevelopment of integrated design concepts that bring interiors, architecture, and site design together for a more complete experienceAptitude for and experience in a variety of project types including medical, workplace, education, and high end residential interior designExperience selecting, specifying, and bidding contract furnitureEmphasis on interior architecture and designParticipate in the Interior Design discipline group to set and maintain standards for excellent documentation and designLead the interior design process throughout schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administrationDevelop design concepts through technical documentation with specific focus on detailing, millwork, lighting and all other areas that comprise the interior environmentEnsure all deliverables meet internal and external project requirements including time, budget, quality, and scopePresent ideas, resolve issues, and communicate project status to clientsManage client expectations, team communications, and consultant coordinationInterface with consultants and vendors, source and provide quality material options, and prepare finishes, fixtures, and furnitureDeveloping furniture layouts, budgets, and bid documentsDocumentation of interior finishes, millwork, and interior architecture using RevitProduction of 3D renderings using SketchUp and/or RevitCreating graphic packages for client presentations using InDesignConduct site visits for field measurements, review construction progress and installation of materialsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Interior Design from an accredited college or university or related experience4+ years of professional experience in interior designProficiency in Revit requiredExperience with SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Bluebeam preferredStrong communication skills, ability to work well with team members and clientsStrong visual presentation skillsAbility to collaborate with team members, receptive to constructive feedbackDeliver on expectations, self-directed and ability to hold oneself accountableAbility to juggle multiple projects and prioritize tasksDemonstrates understanding of budgets and ability to work within budget parametersFor more information, please submit a confidential resume to [email protected] Tischer1531 W Oak StreetZionsville, IN 46077Visit our website at www.mriz.netDue to the high volume of resumes received, only applicants with SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE requested by our clients will be contacted.
