Interior Designer or Interior Design Specialist

The Division of Facilities Planning & Management (FP&M) is a full-spectrum service organization that builds, maintains, and operates the physical environment of the UW–Madison campus in support of the university's education, research, and outreach activities. Applicants for this position will be considered for Interior Designer and Interior Design Specialist titles. Key Job Responsibilities: • Designs, and renovates interior spaces according to aesthetic preferences, structural requirements, and established policies and procedures • Assesses, interprets, finalizes, and provides consultations to clients regarding design plans, expectations, and the execution process • Communicates and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders and construction professionals to complete assigned projects and adhere to established timelines • Schedules logistics and secures resources for the procurement of necessary project materials • Demonstrates skill in accurately reading and interpreting Construction Document (CD) Preferred Qualifications: • Meets all requirements as a Registered Interior Designer as outlined by the State of Wisconsin Department of Safety & Professional Services ( DSPS Registered Interior Designer).
