Interior Designer & Project Consultant

Job Duties:  Meet with potential clients in their home to develop a relationship; discuss the particulars of their project and determine if we are a good fit for each other for the project  Conduct in the field captures of measurements & photos  Collaborate with clients to plan spaces and finishes while providing guidance and consultation on all things design related  Prepare and participate in client presentations  Research materials and fixtures to understand technical specifications for installation  Create drawings and supporting documents from early concepts sketches through to construction documents, including preparing the design documents for permitting  Guide design projects along predetermined schedules holding to milestones and deadlines  Guide design projects within the budget constraints of our clients  Order and coordinate field delivery of all cabinets & parts, plumbing fixtures and lighting fixtures  Conduct multiple site visits at varying milestones to support the construction efforts in the field Job Qualifications & Skills:  Bachelor’s or Associates degree in interior design, architecture, or related field  3+ years relevant interior design experience  In-depth knowledge of cabinets and storage systems  In-depth knowledge of finishes  Demonstratable knowledge of drafting principles  Demonstratable knowledge of space planning principles  Demonstratable knowledge of industry resources  Able to develop and present design concepts  Proficiency in Autocad required  Proficiency in Revit an asset  Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite required  Proficiency in 2020 design an asset  Proficiency in Adobe Photo Shop an asset  NCDIQ accreditation an asset
