Interior Designer - Residential

We are a fun collaborative group of designers looking for a talented interior designer to join our team to work on exciting residential projects. The Interior Designer will work directly with the Principal and project team with a focus on design, documentation and sourcing of interior design projects. The Interior Designer’s role may vary depending on the nature and size of the projects. Responsibilities include: • Sourcing, shopping for and specifying furniture, fabric, accessories, equipment, finishes and materials • Developing interior design programs for high end residential projects • Composing mood boards and creating design schemes • Drafting furniture plans, elevations and interior architectural details • Designing, drafting and coordinating custom furniture orders • Creating fixture and finish schedules • Assisting with budgets and project scheduling • Communicating with Clients, vendors and others as needed to thoughtfully execute the project program • Assist in directing the junior and intern staff to help us teach them and keep them productive • Collaborate with Principal to build and cultivate the KRID library of sources, artisans, vendors and dealers Qualifications • College- level degree required (architecture, interior design or related field) • Min. 3 years experience in interior design • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Experience with and knowledge of to-the-trade furnishing lines, fabric lines, showrooms and vendors • Experience sourcing and documenting FF&E; design and/or selection & documentation of interior architectural finishes • Proficiency in AutoCAD (both in 2D and 3D), InDesign, Sketch Up, Illustrator, Photoshop • Must be productive, flexible, and team-oriented • Must be detail oriented and thorough • Must meet deadlines and ensure accuracy of all work produced • Must be willing to take initiative and ownership of all tasks on projects • Demonstration of three-dimensional design and planning skills • Excellent verbal and written skills • Good hand-sketching a plus • Proficiency with Asana and IVY a plus We look forward to reviewing your resume and portfolio - and perhaps meeting you!
