Interior Designer + Sales Consultant

Arden Home is a contemporary boutique retail furniture and interior design showroom located in Capitol Hill, Seattle. We are looking for a full-time Interior Designer + Sales Consultant who is self-motivated, outgoing, and has a passion for interior design. Interior design and retail sales experience are preferred. A personable, tactful, efficient, detail-oriented, and self-motivated individual will excel in this position. As an Interior Designer + Sales Consultant at Arden Home, you will: • Focus on interior styling + design consultations, retail custom furniture and home decor sales and operations, client relations, and marketing/promotion for business growth • Partner with owner + coworkers to achieve sales goals and increase overall performance of the showroom • Oversee client projects and orders from beginning to end • Help maintain website and social media • Assist in selecting and buying merchandise for the showroom • Some in-store merchandising, cleaning, shipping/receiving, and general administrative work The ideal candidate will be: • Experienced in working with clients on their interior design needs • Able to lead with questions and incorporate a client's personal style and functional requirements to offer the best solution • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and people-friendly • Have excellent customer service skills • Highly detail oriented • Tech savvy • Passionate about keeping up with current design trends • Able to work independently in a small-business setting • Dedicated, responsible, and reliable Strengths include: • A high sense of professional integrity and work ethic • Experience managing projects; preferably within a design-related environment • Able to provide professional, relationship-based sales experiences to clients • Able to problem solve in a solution-based, design-focused sales environment • Able to maintain vendor relationships and oversee purchasing • Demonstrated use of technology and social media to drive business Position Requirements: • Full time • Weekend and holiday availability is required • Interior Design related degree and/or equivalent experience with professional portfolio We offer: • Competitive salary and incentive programs • Benefits including 401K and PTO (after 6 months of hire) • Some work from home opportunities • Potential for yearly buying trips This is a full-time salary + commission position and is available for immediate start.
