Interior Designer Specialist

At Floor & Decor Holdings, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Interior Designer Specialist to join our team. About the Job The Interior Designer Specialist will be responsible for greeting store customers in a helpful manner, scheduling design appointments, and providing tile, wood, stone, and accessories advice to homeowners, interior designers, and builders. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, as well as proficiency in basic mathematical skills and basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite. Key Responsibilities • Greet store customers in a helpful manner and supports store design walk-in needs • Schedule design appointments for existing and potential customers, while developing clientele through networking and referrals, as well as leads generated within the store • Provide tile, wood, stone, and accessories advice to homeowners, interior designers, and builders for both residential and commercial projects • Design and sell complete, functional, and aesthetically appealing solutions • Manage multiple, simultaneous customer projects through all phases with a high level of accuracy, timeliness, and follow-up, including consistent and concise communication to customers and others Requirements • Minimum of one year of interior design experience or prior retail/sales experience • Degree in design is a plus • Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus • Proficient in basic mathematical skills • Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills • Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite
