With you as part of the design team, interiors have never been so engaging.What You Will DoLead interior design teams on projects while working closely with Design Director and Design Manager.Collaborate on commercial interiors projects, including developing a design strategy, programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documents, and management of budgets and schedules.Develop space planning concepts and generate program documents.Lead, develop, and present schematic and design development design packages for client presentation/meetingsLead selection of commercial furniture systems and specifications.Provide project team coordination for finish plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction.Work with consultants, furniture dealers, product reps, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives.Guide the design and technical team on necessary design details and documentation to communicate design intent and provide information for bidding/pricingManage client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination.Contribute to office activities, initiatives and learning programs.Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships.Your Qualifications10+ years of experience as an interior designer, with a focus on commercial interiors.Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field from an accredited school.Strong knowledge of the design process, including FF&E, furniture systems and specifications, products and materials.Outstanding conceptual 3 dimensional thinking and graphic presentation skills.Must be highly proficient in Revit and skills to include AutoCAD.Strong knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design and Sketch Up required; Rhino and 3D Studio Max preferred.Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development.Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly.Strong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills.Registered Architect or Interior Designer requiredLife at GenslerAt Gensler, we are as committed to enjoying life as we are to delivering best-in-class design.
