About the position As a Gensler Interior Designer with our team in Tampa, your job is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. Perform interior design assignments that include programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning and construction documentationParticipate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lightingGenerate floor plans, finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for constructionProvide design support and documentation during completion and execution of design conceptsResponsible for Construction Documentation and Construction Administration, supporting the delivery of the project design intentWork on multiple teams and support concurrent projects in varying phases of project deliveryManage external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricatorsAs a self-motivated designer with strong Revit skills, you can jump in and produce test fits and project deliverablesRequirements Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited university3-7 years of commercial interior design experience – ideally for Workplace , Healthcare or Mixed Use projectsProficient with Revit, SketchUp, 3D, Enscape, and other modeling software programs, such as Rhino, Grasshopper and/or DynamoProficient with Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign a must)Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specificationsStrong knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specificationsGraphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideasDemonstrated commitment to resilience and sustainable building practicesNice-to-haves We view our professional development programs as strategic investments in our future.
