Hyde Evans Design is an interior architecture and design firm located in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle specializing in high-end residential projects including large-scale remodels and new construction. We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess the following traits: • Excellent client communication and presentation skills • Organized and detail-oriented with superior time management • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously • Communicate effectively with vendors, subcontractors, engineers & architects and any others related to the completion of the project • Ability to take initiative and work well independently as well as the flexibility within a team environment • Strong conceptual and schematic design skills • Understanding and execution of project design process • Knowledge of furniture, fixtures, equipment and materials Responsibilities will include: • Work with team on the design process of projects • Space planning and layouts • Cabinetry design and details • Create drawings in either 2D or 3D based on project needs • Research materials and fixtures, such as lighting, furniture, wall finishes, flooring, and plumbing fixtures • Collaboration and communication with design team and clients • Development and production of project construction deliverables - construction documents and schedules Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design/Architecture from in CICA or NAAB accredited institution required • Experience in interior design, interior architecture or related field • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Microsoft Office required, Revit or other additional 3D rendering software program experience preferred Application: Please send cover letter, resume and copy of portfolio of work for consideration.
